Doris “Imagene” Ellis

Outdoor services for Imagene (Sullivan) Ellis were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, Okla., with Pastor Doug McClure officiating. Imagene left this earth to be with her late husband, Jimmie, on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at the age of 81.

Imagene was born Sept. 15, 1939 to Will and Ann (Heinen) Sullivan in Burneyville, Okla. She resided in the Hugo area most of her life, where she met and married her love, Jimmie, on July 28, 1956. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hugo. She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed cooking, gardening, and was always willing to help Jimmie on the ranch. Imagene “mom,” “nana,” adored her family with all her heart. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmie; son, Clay and brother, Larry Sullivan.

Imagene is survived by her daughters: Cindy Impson and husband, Bobby of Tahlequah, Okla., Susie Uphues and husband, Chris of Dallas, Texas, and Melissa Reily and husband, Mark of Pottsboro, Texas; brother, Arnold Sullivan and wife, Barbara of Choctaw, Okla.; grandchildren: Klint Impson and wife, Katie of Ft. Gibson, Okla., April Davis and husband, Trent of Austin, Texas, Kody Impson and wife, Brandi of Deer Creek, Okla., Kyle Impson and Steven Kochenower of Oklahoma City, Levi Ellis of Hugo, Bailey Ruthardt and husband, Colby of Woodward, Okla., Calijah Self of Spencerville, Okla., Austyn Reily of Pottsboro, Texas, Alli Reily of Pottsborro, Ben Ellis of Soper, Okla., and JE Ellis of Soper; and great-grandchildren: Riley, Jagger, Karson, Kale, Presley, Kase, Brooks, Krew and Kash.
