Celebration of life service for Dusti Lynn Collum were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2021 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hugo, Okla., with Pastor Kyle Cummings officiating and burial following at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo. Dusti went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2021, in Denison, Texas, at the age of 37.

Dusti Lynn Collum was born Sept. 12, 1983 to Randall Collum and Sandra Kay (Leslie) McDowra in Denison, Texas. She had lived most of her life in Hugo. Dusti went to Hugo Schools and was a member of the 2002 Hugo High School graduating class. After graduation, Dusti completed a year at Southeastern Oklahoma State University before starting her career at the Choctaw Casino. Dusti dedicated nearly 20 years to the Choctaw Casino where she formed many long-lasting friendships. She was a member of the Choctaw Nation and worked at the Choctaw Nation Casino. Dusti loved going to concerts and she was a foodie and loved to try new things. She was very spontaneous and loved an adventure. Dusti was very crafty and always scrap-booking. Most of all Dusti loved spending time with her family.

Dusti was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra McDowra; grandparents: Donald and Mattie Bell Leslie and Sonny and Joyce Lewis.

Dusti is survived by her father, Randall Collum and step-mom, Donna of Sherman, Texas; step-father, Brad McDowra of Paris, Texas; sisters: Randa Rucker and husband, James of Mckinney, Texas, Shae Raper and husband, Colby of Hugo and Sarah Collum of Dallas, Texas; brother, Reed Collum of Sherman, Texas; nieces: Bari Rucker and Brinn Rucker; nephews: Luka Raper, Andrew Raper and Keegan Raper; best friend, Kassin Sumner of Hugo; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
