Memorial services for Dustin Todd Thomas were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Hugo with the Rev. Doug McClure and Dr. Danny Mills officiating. Dustin passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021 in Ft. Smith, Ark., at the age of 47.

Dustin was born Nov. 7, 1973 in Talihina, Okla., to Kenneth and Glenda Thomas. Dustin grew up in the Moyers area and attended Antlers High School. He was a multi-sport athlete, but was most passionate about and excelled in baseball. Dustin graduated in 1992 and after a short stint in college moved to Clarksville, Tenn., where he lived until moving to Hugo in 2001. He married Lindsey Wolfe on June 22, 2002 in Hugo. Dustin began working for Rustin Concrete in September 2016 as a haul truck driver and in the last year had been promoted to plant manager for the Hugo and Antlers plants. He was a hard worker and took pride in his work and the position he held.

Dustin and Lindsey have two children: Halle and Jackson. He was a devoted father and family man and enjoyed spending time with his children and wife more than anything in the world. He had recently begun teaching Halle how to drive and loved talking to her about softball and teaching her how to become better at that sport. He and Jackson had a shared love of superhero and Star Wars movies and never missed an opportunity to go to the theater together whenever a new movie premiered. Dustin and Lindsey enjoyed almost weekly date nights and just being in each other’s company. They loved each other through many ups and downs in their 19 years of marriage and could still make each other laugh until they cried.

Dustin is preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Thomas; and grandparents.

Dustin is survived by his wife, Lindsey Thomas and his children: Halle and Jackson Thomas of the home; his father, Kenneth Thomas of Moyers, Okla.; and his sister, Stacey Burchfield and husband of Durant, Okla.; a niece and nephew, and countless other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Services were under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
