Burial followed at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo. Edward went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Okla., at the age of 88.

Edward Bean was born Feb. 28, 1933, to Oma F. and Lillie Mae (Palmer) Bean Sr. in Soper, Okla. He had lived in this area most of his life and was proud to serve in the United States Navy during the Korean War. As a young man he worked for 7-Eleven and Dr. Pepper and then went to work for the United States Postal Service for 36 years.

While working full time for the Post Office, he started a tractor mowing business. He and LaDois worked on light switch plates and enjoyed traveling and selling the plates to various craft shows. Edward enjoyed ranching and loved to watch his cattle while driving his ATV over the land and he was always excited when a new calf was born. He enjoyed everything his life offered. Edward liked to share his life stories with others. He was a devoted family man and loved his wife and his two daughters and did everything possible to make their lives good. He enjoyed watching college football, especially the Oklahoma Sooners and always looked forward to the National Championships.

Edward was a happy man and always positive. Several times he made comments that he had been blessed with a good life and a wonderful family. He recently went to live at an assisted living facility in Oklahoma City, where he met new friends and enjoyed playing dominoes and bingo and various activities. The loss of our dad is immense, but we are comforted by knowing he is in the presence of our Lord and Savior. Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife LaDois of 62 years in 2015; brothers: Ralph James Bean, Oma F Bean Jr.

Edward is survived by his two daughters: Debbie Henderson of Moore, Okla., and Nancy Eskridge and husband, Craig of Shady Point, Okla.; sister Betty Hagins of Forney Texas; sister-n-law Lucille Bean of Garland Texas ; Four grandchildren: LaTisha and husband Kent of Buda, Texas; Shane and wife Adelene of Soper; Christopher and wife Stephanie of Harrah, Okla.; Natalie and husband Chris Kelly of Moore; Eight great grandchildren: Cooper and Carter of Buda; Alaric and Aedan of Soper; Colten and Ridge of Harrah; and Austin and Elaina of Moore and many nieces, nephews, and a host of life-long friends.
