Freda Fay McMillian

Memorial services for Freda Fay McMillian, of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 21, 2021 at Shoals Baptist Church.

On Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, Freda “Fay” Flesher McMillian gained her wings, at the age of 72 and is now resting in the arms of our Lord.

Fay was born in Coweta, Okla., on June 23, 1949, to Walter J. Flesher and Maxine G. (Spurlock) Flesher. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, James Flesher and younger sister, Frances Fern “Fernie” Flesher.

Fay lived in Coweta as a young woman and married the boy down the street, Kenneth D McMillian 53 years ago on Jan. 20, 1968. She loved her church, her family, her little dog, “Duke” and traveling. She and Ken always loved to cook and feed everyone.

Fay is survived by her husband, Ken of the home; daughters: Holli Hilyard and husband of Hugo, Jamie Hughes and husband of Hot Springs, Ark.; two grandsons; two granddaughters; brother, Charles Flesher and a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2021 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home, Hugo.

Interment will follow the service at Shoat Springs Cemetery with Bro. Ken Livingston officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
