James Russell Chancellor

Funeral services for James Russell Chancellor, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 13, 2021 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. James passed away Oct. 10, 2021, at the age of 63.

James Russell Chancellor was born on July 17, 1958 in Houston, Texas, to Artie “A.D.” and Mandy Augustine (Storey) Chancellor. He was preceded in death by his father; brothers: Artic Robert Chancellor and B.J. Youngblood.

James married the love of his life, Brenda Youngblood on Oct. 27, 1978 in Oklahoma City. He was a mechanic by trade and enjoyed working on cars. James was a quiet man who enjoyed being with his family. He enjoyed gardening, especially planting roses. James also enjoyed writing books and fishing. James was a member of Victory Baptist Church and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

James is survived by his wife of 42 years, Brenda; daughters: Amanda Chancellor and Tina Chancellor of Hugo; a granddaughter; mother, Mandy Augustine Youngblood of Hugo; brother, Timothy Paul Chancellor of Hugo, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Redden Cemetery in Redden, Okla., with Bro. Johnny Corgill officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
