Joey Dale Heady

Funeral services for Joey Dale Heady, of Sawyer, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Joey passed away June 6, 2022, at the age of 41.

Joey Dale Heady was born on Sept. 29, 1980 in Paris, Texas, to Clifford Heady and Judy (Roden) Heady. Joey was preceded in death by his mother, Judy. Joey was a life-long residence of Choctaw

Joey was a life-long residence of Choctaw County. He owned and operated Heady Transportation for more than 23 years; he loved driving all over the country. Joey was an avid outdoors man; loving to hunt and fish. He was master at finding the perfect hunting spots and best fishing holes. However, Joey’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his friends and family. He would spend every spare moment he had with them and was always a call away if they needed anything. Joey will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joey is survived by his father, Clifford Heady of Apple, Okla.; wife, Corrina Heady of the home; daughters: Emily Elrod and husband of Apple and Sara Heady of Apple; a grandchild; sister, Julie Heady of Hugo; brother, Randall Heady and wife of Apple; along with a host of other friends, family and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Cloudy Cemetery, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
