Joyce Green

Funeral services for Joyce Green were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 202 at Shoals Baptist Church with Brent Jones officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hugo, Okla. Joyce went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 in Sherman, Texas, at the age of 63.

Joyce was born Jan. 9, 1958 to Berry “Slick” and Sylvia Lee “Graves” Morris in Idabel, Okla. She had lived in this area all of her life and attended the Northgate Penecostal Church. Joyce married the love of her life, Lewis Green on June 11, 2004 in Hugo. She owned and operated the Auction Time and A-Z Activity Zone Daycare. Joyce loved spending time with her family. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lewis Green in 2018; brothers: Roy Morris and Marty “Joe” Morris.

Joyce is survived by her children: Tamala Bryant and husband of Hugo, Roxanne Burris and husband of Hugo, Jeremy Teague and wife of Valliant, Okla.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers: Coy Morris of Hugo, Troy Morris of Hugo, Charles Morris of Hugo, Vernon Morris of Hugo, Michael Morris of Arlington, Texas, Jack Morris of Edmond, Okla.; sisters: Shirley Armentrout of Durant, Okla., Marilyn Pannell of Broken Bow, Okla.; a host of nieces and nephews and numerous friends.

Services were under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
