Joyce Turpin

Joyce Juanita (Lumpkin) Turpin was born on April 3, 1938 in Coalgate, Okla., the daughter of Carl Lumpkin and Leona (Linton) Lumpkin. She passed from this life on Nov. 30, 2022 in Cooper, Texas, at the age of 84.

Joyce married Dellie Turpin in September of 1956 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents, and her daughter, Carla Grubbs.

Joyce lived most of her life in Tuttle, Okla. She loved to shop, enjoyed planting vegetable gardens and her favorite fruit trees.

Joyce had a passion to travel, and especially with her beloved husband by her side. She loved her family, especially her husband, kids and grandkids. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Joyce is survived by her sons: Steven Turpin of Boswell, Okla., Carl Wade Turpin of Tuttle, Okla.; a brother, Carl Lumpkin and wife of Tuttle; seven grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren, one greatgreat- grandchild, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

A private, family-led memorial will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
