Lewis Lynn McClanahan

Graveside services for Lewis Lynn McClanahan were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 at the Fort Towson Cemetery in Fort Towson, Okla., with Pastor Danny Mills officiating. Lewis passed away Oct. 5, 2021, in Fort Towson, at the age of 88.

Lewis Lynn McClanahan was born Jan. 8, 1933 in Spur, Texas, to Preston and Kattie Lee (Perry) McClanahan. He had lived in this area for 40 years and was of the Christian faith. Lewis worked as a pipe fitter for Fire Protection Sprinklers for 43 years. He loved the outdoors and especially his horse. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dora Faye in 2008; three sons: Lonnie McClanhan, Preston McClanahan and Adam McClanahan; two brothers: Kenneth McClanahan and J.D. McClanahan; and a grandchild.

Lewis is survived by six children: Sondra Scott and husband of Lubbock, Texas, David McClanhan and wife of Lubbock, Jack McClanahan and wife of Maud, Okla.,, Tonya Day and husband of Fort Towson, Bobbie Moore and husband of Sawyer, Okla., and Shiena Austin of Idabel, Okla.; daughters-in-law; 21 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Services were under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
