Graveside services for Linda Lou Forbus, of Dallas, Texas, were held at 2 p.m. April 17, 2021 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, Okla. Linda passed away April 14, 2021, at the age of 73.

Linda Lou Forbus was born April 22, 1947 to Jess and Golda (Phipps) Roper in Ponca City, Okla. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Linda grew up on a farm in Kansas with her four siblings, where she learned the importance of hard work, integrity, courage and love. Linda was a very caring, loving person whom people were drawn to. She was the mother hen to all of those who knew her. Linda worked for many years at the Choctaw Casino in the EVS department. She enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her children, but she especially loved taking care of her grandchildren. Linda lost her battle with cancer after a very long, brave battle with the disease. She will be missed greatly by all who loved her.

Linda is survived by her sons: Greg Forbus of Dallas, Texas, and Michael Forbus of Lawton, Okla.; daughter, Rachell Forbus of Hugo; brothers: Allan Roper of Hugo, Doug Roper of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Randy Roper of Hugo; sister, Cheryl Cummings of Paris, Texas; six grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, along with many other family, friends and loved ones.

Bro. Jamie Stevenson officiated the service under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
