Linda Nell Chambers

Funeral services for Linda Nell Chambers, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. June 24, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Linda passed away June 21, 2022, at the age of 74.

Linda Nell Chambers was born on July 16, 1947 in Bogota, Texas, the daughter of Leroy Hampton and Parilee (Mauldin) Bowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons: Terry Taylor and Jerry Taylor; a great-grandchild and sisters: Marie Morrow and Crystal Atchley.

Linda grew up in Dallas, Texas, and was a resident of Ada, Okla., for more than 20 years, moving to Durant, Okla., five years ago. She was a St. Jude Prayer Team Member and worked as a dispatcher for Arrow Wrecker Service for many years. Linda enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She was a great cook and made the best sweet potatoes and pineapple upside down cake. Linda loved her family and would do anything for them. She loved giving to her kids and watching the Golden Girls. But more than all she loved the Lord. Linda will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda is survived by her son, Billy Dewayne Taylor of Hugo; daughter, Donna Kay Higgins and husband of Messer, Okla.; sister, Diana Smith of Springfield, Tenn.; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Services were under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
