Margaret Tucker

Funeral services for Margaret Tucker, of Detroit, Texas, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Margaret passed away April 27, 2021, at the age of 87.

Margaret Annie Tucker was born Oct. 22, 1933 in Caldwell, Texas, the daughter of Robert and Annie Vavra. She lived in Mesquite, Texas, for nine years and in Fort Towson, Okla., for more than 15 years.

Margaret enjoyed crocheting, sewing, fishing and doing crossword puzzles. She was a cafeteria worker in the public school system and was of the Catholic faith. Margaret married Clifford Anderson Tucker

Margaret married Clifford Anderson Tucker on Dec. 23, 1954 in Kaufman, Texas. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Sercy Vavra, Robert Vavra and Mickey Vavra and two sisters: Patsy Moye and Lillie Moore.

Survivors include: son, Rodney Hayden Tucker and wife, Freda of Fort Towson; daughters: Donna Long of Detroit, Texas, Tricia Jarzombek and husband, Jerry of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Louise Jefferies and husband, Gary of Randolph, Texas; sister, Janie Burnett of Terrell, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends.

Interment followed the service at Fort Towson Cemetery, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
