Oleta Ann Dickson

Funeral services for Oleta Ann Dickson, of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. July 5, 2024 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Oleta passed away July 1, 2024, at the age of 85.

Oleta Ann Dickson was born on Nov. 6, 1938 in Hugo, Okla., the daughter of James Rhodes and Maxine Edith (Nelson) Rhodes. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Oleta was a lifelong resident of Hugo, and married her beloved husband, Dalias on Jan. 29, 1961 in Hugo. She worked for many years for Paris Regional Hospital as a lab technician and retired from there after 42 years. Oleta loved her family and was so excited to welcome their son, Kyle into the family when they adopted him in 1971. She enjoyed large family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a member of The Church of Christ in Hugo and loved the Lord above all things. She spent time daily reading her Bible. Oleta will be missed by her family and all who had the pleasure of meeting her. Oleta is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dalias Dickson of the home; son, Kyle Dickson and wife of Paris, Texas; five grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren; brother, J.N. Rhodes of Hugo; sisters: Dorothy Cody of Jacksonville, Fla., Martha Davis of Hugo and Shirley Bryant of Hugo, along with a host of family, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2024 at Miller & Miller Funeral Chapel in Hugo.

Interment will follow the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Wiley Copeland officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
