Oma Mae Priddy

Funeral services for Oma Mae Priddy, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. June 9, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Oma passed away June 6, 2023, at the age of 72.

Oma Mae Priddy was born on Jan. 17, 1951, in Sawyer, Okla., the daughter of Tommie Hider and Ruth (Mitchell) Hider. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michale Priddy and sister, Betty Roden.

Oma was a lifelong resident of Choctaw County and married the love of her life, Joshaway Geems Priddy on Oct. 12, 1968, in Hugo. She was a loving wife and mother and loved taking care of people. Oma loved children and was an amazing singer. She loved her garden, flowers, hummingbirds and sitting on her porch. Oma loved the Lord above all things and her passing has left a huge void in the lives of her family. Oma is survived by her husband of 54 years, Joshaway; son, Mark Priddy and wife of Sawyer, Okla.; brother, Charlie Hider of Sawyer; sisters: Fay Dunlap of Hugo, Okla., and Janie Huskins of Grant, Okla.; two grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren, along with a host of family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Fort Towson Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Corgill officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
