Raylena Jo Ashford

Memorial services for Raylena Jo Ashford were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Boswell, Okla., with Bro. Jarrod Wright officiating. Raylena passed away Oct. 1, 2021, in Ft. Smith, Ark., at the age of 61.

Raylena Jo Ashford was born March 24, 1960 in Atoka, Okla., the daughter of Bob and Lawanda (Payne) Johnson. She married Benjamin “Ben” Ashford on Jan. 23, 1995 in Boehler, Okla. Raylena worked as a home health aide and was an amazing caregiver. She loved being a mother, and all the aspects that came with being a homemaker. Raylena enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Lawanda Johnson; two infant siblings; and a nephew.

Raylena is survived by her husband, Ben Ashford and children of the home: Charlie Dennis and Joe Dale Crow; son, Jeremy Lynn Crow of Boswell; two grandchildren; sisters: Brenda Thompson and husband of Boswell, and Bennie McKee of Boehler; brothers: Buck Honeycutt and Johnny Honeycutt both of Boehler; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Services were under the direction of Mt. Olive Funeral Home.
