A private, family service for Raymon Fennell, Sr., of Fort Towson, Okla., will be held at a later date, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Raymon passed away March 7, 2023, at the age of 90.

Raymon Leon Fennell, Sr. was born on March 20, 1932, in Fort Towson, Okla., the son of Furman Fennell and Kate (Polk) Fennell. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruby; brothers: Doyle Fennell, Frank Fennell and Aurthur Fennell; sisters: Lois Winters, Lucille Stinnett, Marcell Taylor, Mary McCormick, Fay Nowland and May Barnes; along with several nieces and nephews.

Raymon was a lifelong resident of the Fort Towson area and a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and served his Country from 1954–1956 and was stationed at Camp Zama in Japan. Raymon married his beloved wife, Ruby Lee Sales on Dec. 24, 1961 at the First Baptist Church in Fort Towson. He worked for J.M. May at his grocery store for a few years before his brother Doyle bought the business. Raymon continued working at the newly-renamed Fennell Grocery for several more years. After this, he and his brother Frank started ranching together. Raymon and Frank would continue ranching together for numerous more years. Also in his spare time, Raymon enjoyed working in the garden, and watching sports. Above all, Raymon loved the Lord, and thoroughly enjoyed going to Church and spending time with his church family.

Raymon is survived by his son, Raymon Fennell, Jr. of Fort Towson; daughter, Ruby Stanford and husband of Fort Towson; two grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; one brotherin- law, along with a host of other friends, family, and loved ones.
