Memorial services for Robert Buck, Jr., of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. April 9, 2022 at Cowboy Crossing Church of Choctaw County. Robert passed away March 22, 2022, at the age of 81.

Robert Claude Buck, Jr. was born on March 5, 1941 in Bandera, Texas, the son of Robert Buck, Sr. and Alice (Baush) Buck. He was proceeded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Shirley; brother, Guy Wade Buck; stepsons: Chet James, Dusty Hemingway and Rusty Hemingway.

Robert had lived in the Choctaw County area since 1964 and married his beloved wife, Shirley in Rattan, Okla., in 1982. Robert was first and foremost a good Christian man who loved the Lord. He loved his church and church family. Robert was a cheerful giver who loved life and was always smiling no matter the situation. He loved to chuck wagon and was in charge of it at his beloved church, Cowboy Crossing Church in Hugo. Robert enjoyed gardening and doing leather work, but above all he just loved serving his Lord and Savior.

Robert is survived by his son, David Buck and wife of Hugo; step-son, Marshal Hemingway; step-daughters: Lori Collins and Kimberly Jackson; four grandchildren, 20 step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sisters: Shirley Smith of Kerrville, Texas, Gayle Gray of Rockport, Texas, and Sandy Buck of Kerrville, along with a host of friends, family and loved ones.

Bro. Mike Merritt will officate the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
