Ronald Edward Summerville

Graveside services for Ronald Edward Summerville, of Boswell, Okla., were held at 3 p.m. March 21, 2021 at Restland Cemetery in Boswell.

Ronald Edward “Butch” Summerville, age 79 of Boswell, passed from this life into eternal life on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in Hugo, Okla. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Myrtle Summerville and brothers: Bill Summerville and Jack Summerville.

Ronald was born on Sept. 14, 1941 in Boswell, the son of Otis and Myrtle (Camp) Summerville. Ronald attended school at Lake West in Boswell and married Ella Davis on Feb. 10, 1960 in Dallas, Texas. Ronald was employed for more than 20 years at Lloyd Fry in Irving, Texas, as a machine operator. He and Ella returned to Boswell and after 10 years of employment with Hay Van as a metal cutter, he retired.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ella; children: Ronnie and Dollie Summerville of Boswell, Robbie and Christy Summerville of Boswell, Joy and Jeff Guthrie of Boswell, and Roger and Marisol Summerville of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brother, Danny Summerville of Boswell; grandchildren: Ronnie Lee Summerville, Justin Summerville, Brian Summerville, Matthew Summerville, Brandon Summerville, William Summerville, Cathrine Oliva, Chris Osborne, Jackie Don Martin and Bryan Martin; 21 great-grandchildren, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones. Special thanks to grandchildren, Justin and Krissy Summerville for all of the love and support they provided for their Pa Pa.

Bro. Tim Harless officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
