Celebration of life services for Sharon Carol Rhodes were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2021 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with Mike Mussett officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hugo, Okla. Sharon went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021, in Hugo, at the age of 70.

Sharon was born July 15, 1951, the daughter of Morris and Fieriel (Owen) Seale in Stockton, Calif. She moved to the Hugo area in 1968, where she met the love of her life, James Noel Rhodes and they got married on Nov. 5, 1969, and were married 52 years. They had two children and raised their family in a loving home. Sharon was a devoted Christian example and a caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Sharon’s greatest joy was her family. She always loved holidays and couldn’t wait to open her house to more than 60 family and friends. Everyone gathered so that they could spend time with loved ones, make memories and eat. Sharon was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Messer, Okla. She was the church secretary for 10 years and kept the books for them. She was at the church every time the doors were open, until her illness advanced. Sharon was the Matriarch and spiritual backbone of her family. Sharon had a few hobbies, she loved cooking, reading books, working puzzles, playing Candy Crush, and watching her daily daytime soaps. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Sharon is survived by her husband, James Noel Rhodes of the home; daughter, Fieriel Raper and husband, Roger; one son, James Rhodes and wife, Carla all of Hugo; four grandchildren: Kelsey, Kameron, Sam and Hayden, all of Hugo; two great-grandchildren: Christian and Emmy, all of Hugo.

Services were under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
