Shonda Sturm

Celebration of life funeral services for Shonda Sturm will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with Pastor McCleary officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Shonda passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, in Sawyer, Okla., at the age of 49.

Shonda Sturm was born June 24, 1973, the daughter of Larry Wayne and Kathy (Burkham) Sturm in Antlers, Okla. She graduated from Rattan High School in 1991. Shonda was an avid arrowhead hunter, loved yard work, and enjoyed fishing –– always an outdoor person who enjoyed working with her hands and building things.

She is preceded in death by her father, Larry Wayne Sturm.

Shonda is survived by her mother, Kathy Lynn Sturm of Sawyer, Okla.; children: Shellbie Miller and wife, Kenna of Chickasha, Okla., Gravin Carter and wife, Evelyn of Antlers; grandchildren: Kinsey and Riggin Duncan of Caddo, Okla.; sister, Cheri Newton of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; brother, Cody Sturm and wife, Brianne of Shawnee, Okla.; nephews and nieces: Miles Newton, Adrienne Newton, Konnar Sturm, Kainn Sturm, Cohann Sturm; special friends: Janna Autry, Jody Sutterfield, David Smith and Julia King, along with numerous friends.
