William Bruce Bowers

Memorial services for William Bowers were held Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in the Miller & Miller Funeral Home of Hugo, Okla., with Bro Chad Austin officiating.

A resident of Sawyer, Okla., William died July 14, 2021 in Hugo, Okla. He was 55.

William Bruce Bowers was born on June 25, 1966, at Millington Naval Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., to Stephen and Marlene (Skinner) Bowers.

William was a Hugo High School graduate, Class of 1985 and was a welder by trade. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force and honorably served his Country during Operation Desert Shield ~ Storm.

William received several service ribbons and awards including the National Defense Service Medal. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. William was a member of the Harley Owners Group, Fort Towson Masonic Lodge. He spent as much time as he could riding his Harley and spending time with his niece. William will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

William is survived by his parents; sons: Reb Bowers, Toby Bowers and Barrett Bowers; daughters: Brittany Bowers and Cheyenne Bowers; sister, Lynnann Shugart and husband David of Hugo, Okla; nephew, Reb V. Bowers and wife Tammy L; niece, Brandy Leigh and a host of other friends, family and loved ones.
