Donald Rodney Leflore went to be with his Lord on Feb. 23, 2022 in Joplin, Mo., at the age of 65. He was born in Talihina, Okla., on Dec. 28, 1956 to Alice Lee Jacob and Alexander Leflore. Donald was a longtime minister of the Friendship Baptist Church.

Celebration of life for Winona Butcher- Taber was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022 at the Assembly of God Church in Hugo, Okla., with Pastor Keithen Brown officiating. Burial followed at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo. Winona went to be with the Lord peacefully at her home on Monday, Feb. 14, 2022 in Hugo, at the age of 89.

Michael Lee Rabon

Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, the Rabon family lost our beloved husband, father, Bops, brother, uncle and a music legend to thousands. Mike Rabon spread his creative artistry through music and writing, as well as educating and inspiring hundreds of students. His legacy from The Five Americans, writings and teachings will live on indefinitely. We are heartbroken, but also grateful to have been touched by his wit, charm and immense talent. A true one of kind and we will miss him dearly.

Jimmy Glenn Prunty

Jimmy Glenn Prunty, 78, of Hugo, Okla., passed away Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022 at his home. Jimmy was born Sept. 14, 1943 in Faught, Texas, to Thelma “Carter” Prunty and Edith “Wynell” (Kirkland) Prunty. Jimmy married Joyce Ellen Wayman on April 15, 1978 in Paris, Texas, building 43 years of love and memories. Jimmy served in the U.S. Army and after leaving the Army, he became a longhaul truck driver for most of his life.
