Senate Review

Body
We honored several different groups at the Capitol this past week that I firmly believe make our state great. First, the Senate recognized Tuesday, May 4 as “Beef Day” and the entire month of May as “Beef Month,” which is nationally celebrated each May to honor the vital role beef producers play in keeping our families fed with a high-quality and safe protein product.

Weather Update

Body
The weather pattern for Choctaw County is not looking too good through the middle of the week, but sunshine and a warming trend get underway on Thursday. High temperatures will climb back into the low-80s by next weekend, but we could see a few scattered thunderstorms on Sunday and the severe weather season usually picks up quite a bit during the month of May so we will have to watch things closely as the warmer air comes back.
