Lucy Daniel crowned Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Sweetheart

The Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Scholarship Pageant was held in conjunction with the Woodward Elks Rodeo in Woodward, Okla. Crowned as the new Miss Rodeo Oklahoma is Cassidy Heskett of Pawnee. The new Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Teen is Lana Carter of Stillwater. The new Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Princess is Nadalee Goedereis of Watts. Two Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Sweethearts were also crowned.

Fort Towson 4-H wins District, State Forestry

The Fort Towson 4-H forestry Judging Junior and Senior teams won District and State contests at Little River Park on Pine Creek Lake and Eastern State College. 4-H members had to take tests over general forestry knowledge, identify insects and disease, participate in compass and pacing, identify trees and tell how they are used in Oklahoma, and measure saw logs.
