Texas man perishes after motorcycle wreck

CHOCTAW COUNTY –– A Van Alstyne, Texas, man was pronounced deceased at the scene of a motorcycle accident Sunday, approximately three miles east of Grant, Okla., in Choctaw County. According to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Jeremy Rainey (SIC), 35, was traveling northbound on US 271 on a Honda CMX motorcycle at approximately 3:27 p.m.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Senate Bill 1252, introduced by Sen. George Burns, R-Pollard, has successfully passed a vote of the full Senate on Thursday. The bill aims to transfer all properties currently held for Hugo Lake Park to the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department by Jan. 1, 2025.
