As we put February in the history book and enjoy some unseasonably warm weather, most of the folks here in Southeast Oklahoma are cranking up their expectations for another beautiful spring season. A large segment of residents in our part of Oklahoma either work outdoors or they enjoy being outdoors where they can enjoy our moderate weather.

Oklahoma Watch In a House Criminal Justice and Corrections Committee meeting last week, Chairman Justin “JJ” Humphrey, R-Lane, presented two Oklahomans who said they were blackmailed by Department of Corrections inmates, that their relative was beaten or raped and that they were threatened with more violence against their loved one if they didn’t pay.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma State Auditor & Inspector (SA&I) Cindy Byrd has released her forensic audit report for the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. The District Attorney requested the SA&I to investigate the financial activity of the Sheriff’s Office. The audit report reveals two significant issues.
