The Hugo Tag Office will closed from now until Tuesday, July 6 for needed repairs. The annual 4th of July fireworks display at Raymond Gary State Park will be held on July 4 at dusk.
It is time for one of my favorite holidays of the year. How can you beat baked beans, hot dogs and a cold drink followed by beautiful fireworks! The temperatures will be around 88 to 90 for the July Fourth weekend. We can’t rule out rain as there will be about a 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms.

Early voting begins Thursday, July 8 for voters in the township of Sawyer. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on election day, have the option of voting early at their County Election Board. Early voting is open to all voters who reside within the Sawyer township boundaries.
