Our first priority at Hugo Schools is the protection of our students and staff from harm. The recent increase in violence in our community is alarming to all of us in the district. We are extremely grateful for the actions of the members of our local enforcement agencies in responding to these incidents. Our partnership with the City of Hugo and the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office is invaluable in our efforts to keep our students and staff safe. We must remain proactive in doing all we can to ensure the safety of those in the schools.

HUGO –– Police are investigating after two males were injured in an alleged drive-by shooting last Thursday in Hugo. According to Hugo Police Chief John Mitchell, officers responded to Eighth and Leflore St.
