Funeral services for D’loris Ann (Freeman) Hinsley, of Soper, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 6, 2021 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. D’loris passed away Jan. 2, 2021, at the age of 79.

D’loris Ann Hinsley was born on Sept. 21, 1941 in Apple, Okla., to Ellsworth and Getsie (Biffell) Freeman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Hinsley; sons: Joe Hinsley and Gerald Hinsley; brother, Elmer Freeman and sister, Nell Corbett.

D’loris grew up in Spencerville, Okla., and was a 1961 graduate of Fort Towson High School. She married Bob Hinsley in Spencerville on May 20, 1961.They loved to travel but were always glad to return home to Choctaw County. D’loris enjoyed sewing and listening to bluegrass music. She loved going to ball games and spending time with family and friends. D’loris will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

D’loris is survived by her son, Vergil Hinsley of Hominy, Okla.; daughter, Ellen “Sissy” Trapp and husband of Soper; sisters: Pearl Baskin of Swink, Okla., Mary Sue Lester and husband of Paris, Texas; 10 grandchildren; a daughter-in-law; a sister-in-law, and numerous great-grandchildren along with several great-great-grandchildren and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Soper Cemetery with Bro. Dempsey Greer officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
