Funeral services for Kenneth Kelley, of Grant, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Kenneth passed away May 18, 2022, at the age of 54.

Kenneth Wayne Kelley was born on Jan. 5, 1968 in Hugo, Okla., to Jimmy Kelley and Jolene Saxon. Kenneth was proceeded in death by his father, Jimmy; stepfather, Doug Saxon; brother, Donald Kelley; a grandchild, a niece and three nephews.

Kenneth had been a member of the community most of his life and is where he raised his family with his loving wife, Retha. Kenneth and Retha (Markcum) Kelley were married on April 11, 1986 in Lubbock, Texas, and spent the last loving 36 years together. Kenneth was a true outdoorsman, loving to go fishing and would pull his camper to the lake any chance he could. He was known all around the community and never met a stranger. Kenneth loved people, one of his favorite things to do was going to Wal-Mart just to visit with people. Kenneth’s greatest joy in life, however, was his family, especially his grandchildren. They were his whole world, and he never missed any event going on in their lives. Spending time with them was his greatest joy and his family always knew that he was just one call away. Kenneth will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Kenneth is survived by his mother, Jolene Saxon of Hugo; wife, Retha Kelley of the home; son, Jimmy Kelley and wife of Grant, Okla.; daughter, LeeAnn Markcum of Hugo; seven grandchildren; brothers: Billy Kelley and wife of Hugo and James Kelley of Hugo; sisters: Renita Green and spouse of Hugo and Jackie Broach and spouse of Hugo; along with a host of other friends, family and loved loves.

Interment followed the service at Shoals Cemetery in Hugo, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
