Celebration of Life services for Lanny Dean Nash were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Hugo with Doug McClure and Charles Baggett officiating. Burial followed at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, Okla. Lanny passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020, in Paris, Texas, at the age of 78.

Lanny Dean Nash was born Feb. 14, 1942, to Halbert Ray and Vera Ann (Griffis) Nash, in Hugo. He had lived in this area most of his life and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hugo since 1993. Lanny married Donna Freeman on Sept. 15, 1967 in Hugo. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp. Lanny worked as the manager of the PSO Electric Company in Hugo until he retired. He was very active in his community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club and the Rotary Club. Also, he was a volunteer fire fighter and Chief in Antlers, Okla. Lanny enjoyed playing golf, fishing and hunting deer and turkey. Lanny was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Marion Nash, Glyna Hope and Anita Duncan.

Lanny is survived by his wife, Donna of the home; son, Bryce Nash and wife of Hugo; and a grandchild.

Services were under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
