Funeral services for Laura Sue Belvin, of Boswell, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. May 15, 2024 at Good Springs Church in Boswell. Laura passed away May 12, 2024, at the age of 78.

Laura Sue Belvin was born on March 3, 1946 in Boswell, Okla., the daughter of L.C. Pierce and Mary Marie (Cheek) Pierce. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronnie Pierce.

Laura lived most of her life in Boswell and worked at the glove factory and as a caregiver. She was also a homemaker and loved to take care of her family and home. Laura enjoyed baking and made the best pecan pie and fudge. She also enjoyed Diet Coke, candy bars and loved McDonald’s cheeseburgers. Laura loved to travel and take cruises, having visited Rome and multiple places in Europe. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She rarely had time for herself as she was always following her grandchildren, watching their ball games and activities.

Laura will be remembered for her great sense of humor and love for her family.

Laura is survived by sons: Johnny Raymond Belvin, Bryan Eugene Belvin and wife of Boswell and Zachary Robert Belvin of Boswell; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers: Ricky Pierce and Jason Phillips; sisters: Linda Williams, Kay Brown and Diane Cameron, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Good Springs Cemetery with Jan Lee and Randy Rutledge officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
