A beautiful week ahead with sunny skies and a steady warming trend as we make the transition from summer into fall this week. Afternoon highs will steadily climb from the low-80s to near 90 by next weekend. The nights will be pleasantly cool as we dip into the 50s. There is very little rainfall insight through the end of September.

Scientific data says America is gaining on natural and vaccination immunity

Despite media claims that “We Can’t Turn the Corner on COVID,” the numbers of COVID-19 cases, new hospitalizations, and deaths nationwide peaked and started to decline around the beginning of September. The combination of this milestone, new findings from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showing widespread levels of vaccination and natural immunity, and improved availability of treatments suggests that, outside of isolated pockets, COVID-19 is likely to become a diminishing health risk in the United States.

For the next week we are going to see mostly sunny days and mostly clear nights with no rain in the forecast. The hot weather will continue with highs mostly in the mid-toupper 90s but the lows will be pretty comfortable as we drop into the mid-60s. Temperatures are expected to stay above normal through Sept. 20.
