Tough, tender, loving are apt descriptors for Warren Custer, 95, of Hugo, Okla., who passed in his home surrounded by family. Warren was born at the family home in Grainola, Okla., in 1928 to George Lebeous and Glenn Dorah Custer.

Funeral services for Isabel “Izzy” Allene Bigfeather, of Sawyer, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023 at the Hugo School gymnasium. Isabel passed away Oct. 16, 2023, at the age of 15.

Gearl Wayne Archey, age 81, peacefully departed this world on Oct. 21,2023. The family enjoyed the last Friday night with him in OKC, laughing and relishing his trademark “possum grin.” He was born on April 20, 1942, in Soper, Okla, the son of W.E. and Johnnie (Goforth) Archey. Gearl’s journey through life was filled with love, laughter and dedication to his family and passions. He was preceded in death by his father, William Edgar; his mother, Johnnie Archey; his brother, Harold Archey, and his cherished grandson, Chris Archey.
