The state of Oklahoma recently broadened the opportunities for deer hunters across the state with the addition of the airbow for hunting. The controversial weapon was recently approved by the state wildlife commissioners in an emergency rules change that will allow for air powered arrow rifles (airbow) during big game rifle seasons.

RATTAN — The Rattan RAMS plated two runs in the final inning last week to earn a hard-fought victory over Tushka, 3-1. The RAMS scored in the second and held Tushka off until the sixth when they knotted the score, 1-1.

NORMAN — The Rattan RAMS journeyed to Norman in the first weekend of the fall 2022 baseball season and took on a rank Calumet Cheiftain team. The Chieftains bounced out to a 1-0 first inning lead and expanded their lead to 5-0 after three innings of play.

Oklahoma wide receivers coach Cale Gundy has tendered his resignation after reading a “hurtful” word in a team film session last week, he said in a statement Sunday. Gundy, a former Sooners quarterback from 1990-93, has been an assistant at the university since 1999.
