New law enables electronic titles

OKLAHOMA CITY –– Oklahoma is now the 25th state in the nation to enact legislation allowing the use of electronic titles and liens for vehicles, boats, trailers and farm equipment. Senate Bill 998, authored by Sen. Rob Standridge, R-Norman, and Rep. Mike Osburn, R-Edmond, was approved by Gov. Kevin Stitt on Friday and takes effect Nov. 1, 2021.

OSBI investigates disappearance of two Hugo residents

HUGO –– Monday, the Hugo Police Department requested assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) with the suspicious disappearance of two Hugo, Okla., residents. Jared Lashan Lennox (34) and Krystal Jean Marie Terrell (31) were last seen together in Grant, Okla., on or about May 1, 2021. Lennox and Terrell were in a dating relationship.

Cluster of COVID variant identified in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY –– The Oklahoma State Department of Health announced today it has identified a cluster of 17 recent cases of the B.1.617.2 variant, commonly referred to as the India variant, in the state. Of those, 13 confirmed cases were associated with Cleveland County. To date, a total of 18 cases of the B.1.617.2 variant have been identified in the state.
