The Hugo Area of Commerce conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 6 to commemorate the completion of the restroom remodeling at Hugo Middle School. All eight restrooms at HMS were remodeled by Mid Plains Construction. This project is the beginning of the remodeling of our middle school which will be completed as funds are available. This meant feeding, watering and daily maintenance –– freezing temperatures or blazing sun, all of it was still going to be their responsibility.

Iris Garden Club Yard of the Month for September was Ruby Clancy, at 1202 N. Eighth St. Her beautifully manicured yard features lots of trees, beautiful patio, benches, pots of pansies and pumpkins for fall.
