OU’s legendary Billy Tubbs dead at 85

Body
Known for his high-scoring offenses and witty comments during and after big basketball games, former OU basketball coach Billy Tubbs has passed away at the age of 85. Many remember him being hired on April Fool’s Day in 1980 and others will never forget the sports pundits calling his style of coaching “Billy Ball.” “My goals are to reach the Final Four and then the Final Two and then be the Final One,” Tubbs said the day he was hired.
