The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Alexandria Nicole Nix, age 26, of Idabel, Okla., entered a guilty plea on July 27, 2023, to one count of involuntary manslaughter in Indian Country.

• Program allows Southeastern students to gain educational and career experience by working for the Choctaw Nation DURANT –– Southeastern Oklahoma State University and the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma (CNO) recently celebrated their annual Faculty/ Staff Co-Op Luncheon as the mutually beneficial Co-Op program enters its fourth year. MUSKOGEE –– The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Cedric Jamara Cherry, of Idabel, Okla., age 42, pleaded guilty to one count of felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

PUSHMATAHA COUNTY –– Two men were injured during a one-vehicle accident Saturday night, approximately five miles north of Clayton, Oklahoma., in Pushmataha County. According to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Donny Baugh, 21 of Talihina, Okla., was driving a 2003 Chevy Silverado westbound on 1640 Rd.

CHOCTAW COUNTY –– A Fort Towson man lost his life after an automobile crash on E. 2040 Rd., approximately two miles north and two-and-a-half miles west of Fort Towson Sunday.
