HUGO — Just two months after terminating former Executive Director Wade Awtry and paying him an undisclosed termination package, members of the Hugo Housing Authority held their May meeting on Wednesday, May 29 at the authority’s office complex in the 13th Place Community Center. The meeting was led by Chairperson Chris Cannon, with frequent comment by the authority’s new Executive Director, Barbara Kauss.

from around the state were recently selected to serve as new State 4-H Ambassadors for 2024-2025. Since 1994, the Oklahoma 4-H Ambassador Program has positively impacted club members by providing opportunities to enhance their leadership skills.
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will hold a two-day wild horse and burro event in Checotah, Okla., June 21-22, at the Checotah Round-Up Club Arena. The event will feature 150 animals for adoption.
