I have received numerous phone calls regarding the Hugo Tag Agency closing and questions about when the office will re-open. I’ve been working to track down answers with the Oklahoma Tax Commission and have yet to receive a date when the Tag Agency will re-open.

KFOR OKLAHOMA COUNTY –– Death row inmate Richard Glossip is set to die Dec. 8, but on Thursday his attorney and a lawmaker revealed newly uncovered evidence that they say brings his guilt into question.

More than 2,000 Texans have expressed their opposition to the proposed Marvin Nichols Reservoir by signing a petition which condemns the water project and states, “The proposed Marvin Nichols Reservoir would rob Northeast Texas of land, valuable jobs, and precious water, devastating the region’s economic vitality, heritage farmlands, and natural resources. I stand in opposition to this project and call on policymakers to put a stop to this costly, unnecessary and damaging project.”

OKLAHOMA CITY – September is World Sexual Health Month, and the Sexual Health and Harm Reduction Service (SHHR) at the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) is implementing a program that provides free self-tests to identify human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) to Oklahomans.

Participating optometric physicians across the state of Oklahoma will be giving complimentary eye exams to those in need as part of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physician’s (OAOP) third annual Giving Sight Day. Most participating locations will hold complimentary vision clinics on Saturday, Oct. 1, but some locations will participate in the days immediately preceding or following that date. Some clinics require appointments, while others are first come, first serve. Very high range: Allergy Alert for ragweed and chenopod weed pollen. This is an extreme exposure situation. Severe symptoms may be expected in pollen-sensitive individuals. The more seriously allergic people should be advised to stay indoors as much as possible. This is especially true if a person has pollen sensitivity or allergic bronchial asthma.
