Peter Heals a Lame Beggar 1 One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer— at three in the afternoon. 2 Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts.

The annual Hugo Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade is scheduled for Dec. 11 at 5:30 p.m. Lineup starts at 4:30 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club. The theme is “Peace on Earth.” Registration must be completed at the Hugo Chamber of Commerce by noon on Dec. 10. The parade will leave the Boys & Girls Club and go down Jackson St. to the Frisco Depot Museum where Santa will be available for photos. There will also be hot chocolate, cookies and caroling. After temperatures soaring into the 70s early in the week, a strong cold front will drop us into the 50s for Thursday’s high. We do have lots of sunshine coming this week and dry weather through the weekend. High temperatures around 65 for Saturday and Sunday.

Boswell School celebrates Veterans Day

Veterans Day is our federal holiday in the United States observed every year on Nov. 11, to honor the military veterans, people who have served in the US Armed Forces. We observe this day and salute our heroes. Boswell’s local VFW, (Veterans of Foreign Wars) the organization of US war veterans, who as military service members fought in wars, campaigns and expeditions on foreign land, water or airspace coordinated an assembly at Boswell Public School in the gym last Thursday morning. The Boswell Post 1048 District 4 organized the Veterans Day event.
