A ‘Disney’ Christmas in Hugo...

THE ANNUAL HUGO Chamber Christmas Parade of Lights was held Saturday, with a record number of entries. Folks came from the tri-state area to either join in or spectate as approximately 68 entries lit up Jackson St. Parade Marshall Leah Savage led the followers as Santa’s helper, Darren Frazier donned Saint Nick’s costume to finish off the line-up. Parade winners were not available at press time Tuesday.

Celebration of life for Donna Self will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Hugo, Okla., with Shawn Robertson officiating. A private family burial will be held after the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Donna went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020 in Hugo, at the age of 85.

There will be a residential Christmas decorating contest in Fort Towson this year. The deadline to enter is Dec. 14 with the winner being announced Dec. 19 at the Depot. Register online at www.forttowson.us or at Fort Towson City Hall. The grand prize will be a $500 gift card to Walmart.
