HUGO –– A resolution was reached last Tuesday at the Hugo city council meeting, regarding an item that has spent months on the agenda. A three-to-one vote was submitted in favor of purchasing surveillance cameras for various locations throughout the city.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, for the Fort Towson Municipal Election. Fort Towson voters will be voting on whether to approve a “Hotel Tax” of 7.5% on visitors who stay in hotels or campgrounds less than 30 consecutive days, and to elect a Town Trustee to replace a Trustee with an unexpired term.
Oklahoma Secretary of Agriculture Blayne Arthur was awarded the Honorary American FFA Degree Friday at the 96th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis. The Honorary American FFA Degree is the highest degree bestowed upon an individual by the National FFA Organization.
Life lessons I learned from my life as an east Texas pastor. Pastors usually attended Revivals at other churches to support the other pastors and other churches, but most of all we Pastors need to be revived also to be able to 'keep our batteries charged.' Several east Texas churches in our area have revival together and they call it the HWY 205 Revival.
