Alzheimer’s Association promotes benefits of early detection, diagnosis

Today, there are more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s, including 67,000 here in Oklahoma. As the size of the U.S. population age 65 and older continues to grow, so too will the number and proportion of Americans with Alzheimer’s or other dementias. By 2050, the number of seniors aged 65 and older with Alzheimer’s is projected to double to nearly 13 million.

New report explores benefits of co-location of solar ag land

As demand for clean energy increases, many state and local governments are prudently discussing the impact future solar development will have on agricultural lands. Because largescale solar requires considerable land use, a new report from the Center for Rural Affairs (produced for NCAT’s AgriSolar Clearinghouse) aims to provide decisionmakers and others an overview of policy approaches they can take to combine solar with agriculture –– a practice known as agrisolar or agrivoltaics.
