Two killed in weekend severe weather

Severe weather in most of southeast Oklahoma left a substantial amound of damage in its wake Saturday night, as winds toppled trees and knocked out electrical service over a wide portion of Choctaw, Pushmataha and McCurtain County. The power outages and downed trees pushed several utility and county commissioner crews into overtime mode to get roadways reopened across the area and power restored to nearly 10,000 homes.

Leadership Oklahoma, the premier organization in the state committed to cultivating and connecting leaders to create a better Oklahoma, announces the graduation of Class 35. The graduating class of 47 members from diverse backgrounds and industries completed an intense nine-month program that exposed them to critical issues facing the state, developed their leadership skills, and fostered relationships with other leaders from across Oklahoma.
